Bab Noodles & Al Dente Trattoria

Yippe!! Finally got a chance to meet my mumu after so long. Been busy with work for the past few days. Supposed to meet her around 12.15pm, however as usual, she 'momo here momo there', i went to pick her up at 1.30pm. :p After thinking for quite some time, we finally decided on going to BAB Noodle restaurant at Millenia Walk for some hot Kimichi!WOo la la!!

Picture of The Bab Menu

Seriously.. i think a lot of Singaporeans are damn rich, no need to work, all hanging around in shopping areas. Luckily, there wasnt alot of customers at BAB.

We ordered Iced Green Tea each. Hmm found it to be quite tasteless.. just the normal sakae green tea with ice...-_-

Picture of the Kimchi Chicken Udon on the menu (Moolah:$12)

My mumu's hot spicy Kimchi Chicken Udon. She loves hot spicy soupy stuff whereas i'm typically AH Tiong! Must have rice or noodles!! But i found the soup base to be quite sweet. Rating: 6.5/10 (haha we two are food guru!! Just look at our tummies!)

My Curry Tori Katsu Chicken. I thought it was quite nice, much better than what you get at Sakae, although the Jap resturant near stadium also serves quite good curry katsu. One of the highlights is that the carrots is cooked until very soft which alot of places don..much to the liking of me, a carne fan! Minor complain is that the chicken portion is too little.

After pigging out at Ben&Jerrys, oh the cookie dough and the strawberry cheesecake was a lethal combination.., we went to jalan jalan. Bought some clothes from Esprit, we managed to get a VIP card!! Good for my darling, she can have discount the next time she buys stuff from there.

Next stop Fattyland!!!

We went over to this italiano resturant, aL Dente Trattoria, which was situated at Colors By the Bay. Found out that there was several stalls selling hawker food just beside DXO. Seems all highly recommended by Makansutra.. not sure is it that nice or just to 'robert' the tourists.
Must comment that the rooftop seating was good but humid. Nice ambience and a great view of the CBD area, however i couldnt see a single thing as i'm more into the food!! hahaha !! My dear mumu commented that i looked out of place as i was the only guy wearing polo tee, the other diners were all wearing shirts.. who cares as long i having a romantico dinner with my mumu!!:p

My baby mumu ordered a glass of iced lemon tea (cost 6 moolah.. felt 'robert') tasteless...hmmm seems like our drinks for today are quite bad...

Next up is the Calamari Fritto!! This is highly recommended!! The squid is very fresh and the lime tartar sauce went extremely well with it. One of the better Calamari that i ever had. Minor complain is that the table is too small or maybe we ordered too much food for both of us (as usual) haha. When the main dish arrived, we had no space to put the food and the poor waiters had to join the adjacent table.

Rating: 8/10

My Spaghetti Arragosta! I chose my favourite cream sauce although mumu loves tomata based. I thought the pasta was so-so for the price we paid (moolah:25). The lobster was not as fresh as what i expect it to be. The green stuff (which i didnt touch at all) seems to make the pasta slightly bitter.

Rating: 6/10

Mumu ordered Completo, which is wood fried pizza. It had alot of ingredients such as prawns, mushrooms, tomatos and a weird looking brownish piece of meat. Mumu had abit and never took another bite liao. I tried it also..not to my liking also.. wonder what is it.. should have ask the waiter.. As we ate too soon after lunch, we could not finish the pizza and decided to take away it. Afterwhich, we decided to go home early as mumu was tired and to watch the DVDs that we bought-- Jay Chou' movie, Liar Game & Xiaowanzi

Rating: 6/10

Overall rating: 7/10

(The ambience and calamari had me heheh!!)

Hope today pigging session was good enough for mumu as my poor mumu is going to camp tml. Poor thing.. Love u lots lots.. If only i'm not on shift tml, will secretly smuggle food for u!! Love ya!!

Mustafa Centre & Old HongKong Cafe

So we finally got down to mustafa shopping centre to do some late night shopping :) xin was irritated cos he haven had his dinner and had problems finding the road to mustafa centre, but luckily he didn take it out on me :) so nice of him anyway when we got there, there wasnt much to eat (cos darling is so picky) finally he settled on a toasted cheese sandwich and a cup of tea at mustafa cafe before we started our journey to mustafa centre. only certain items were cheaper; not everything was that cheap but still spend around 45+ dollars buying some miscellaneous stuffs!xin, better remember to write on those cards you bought ar!
after our late night shopping, almost 1230am, we headed to old hongkong cafe which is along katong road just beside katong mall!please don ever go into the car park, park somewhere nearby! we went in and had to pay $3+ for parking and the damn thing don even have 5 mins grace or something!:(

xin's ice lemon tea and my yuan yang :)

One quick picture of the har how before they are all eaten by us heh :)

This is the Old HongKong Braised Duck and chicken porridge, too watery for xin's liking but okie with me. And more to come, think we are quite piggies :P

Our 2nd order for the night eeks!no wonder i put on sooo much weight after 11 dec 02 :P but they do taste a little like those microwave dim sum we can buy from 7-11

And off to bed we went after a hearty supper yum yum!

Our 1st Post finally!

Heh darling!I finally got working already after all these years. :) Next time when we go out, must remind me to take pictures first instead of "attacking" the food k! and let this be a log for us to keep track of our or rather mine calories intake.
