Dinner@ garden slug

We decided to take on ishootieatiblog matra-"never waste your calories on yucky food."
So we headed to garden slug at telok kurau for our dinner, xin told me that their steak and pasta were highly raved on his favourite website now after soccernet heh.

however we didn order any of that heh-instead we had

Not too bad although full of carbos~but probably more suited for breakfast

 it is a pizza with tomato, red capsicum and some other stuffs that i cant remember. What was memorable about this pizza was the crust. it was well baked, with enough thickness. Some pizza's crust are either too thin (paper like) or else too much dough and making it too tough to bite. But it was just nice.

Unfortunately, there are no pictures because my camera battery went flat and no matter how many times i attempted to switch it on, it just refused to budge. OH WELL. until next time :)

We are going to try out my ROM dress on tentatively

Sickening! Finally had to take one day MC after 3 terms without a day of MC. (had to spoil my clean record) oh well...what to do.

anyway since i cant go back to sleep because of the irritating UTI, i decided to work on our blog since xin had been so hardworking on it, it is time i reciprocated.

Friday 18 Sept 09
I just realised the allure of 1-for-1 promotion deals with the use of my credit cards (imagine a buffet meal would only cost the two of us about $30!) so i gave xin the task of searching the best deal we could have for our Friday's lunch.

So when he came to pick me up, I excitedly asked him where are we heading for our 1-for-1 meal, he told me to choose either chicken rice at purvis street or heaven loft at ion orchard (Both not participating in the 1-for-1 meal at all) zhen shi de!

Point 1: Xin does not follow instructions (heh)

Anyway we headed to orchard and decided on having COCA Suki resturant for lunch (I thought they only had one branch in taka) we proceed to the one at international building branch.

It was my first time at coca- I thought it was good because all along I loved eating steamboat.
Thank goodness we made the right choice in ordering the chicken stock because the tom yam stock would have been too overpowering and oily.

We ended up having big tummys after our buffet lunch! (No pictures-should have taken hor dear)

After walking around orchard looking for xin's best deal for wallets, we ended up eating again haha!not even 3 hours after our buffet lunch.
We chanced upon pokka's high tea promotion-a piece of cake and a drink for $6.50

ROM photographer

Went to meet up with Yew Kwang, our now confirmed ROM photographer to take a look at his works. Was quite pleased with his works and style for that price range. Darling was keeping quiet throughout the whole session hahah cos she said she talked too much the last time we went to meet up with another photographer.
She is keen on getting the magazine style album which i thought it was quite nice but we need to top up more for it. We shall see when the photos are out and decide then.
Afterwhich, we went to Blue Ginger to try out Perankan Food. Been wanting to try it out and since we are using UOB 1 for 1 promotion why not!
We ordered the set menu.

For starters: Ngo Heong(not bad but i think Mummy'one nicer)
Kueh Pie Tee(eat with their chilli=Power!!!) but we
only have 2 servings.
Soup: Bakwan Kepeting(the soup was hot and i tot it was
nice)
Mains: Ayam Panggang"Blue Ginger":it is deboned chicken
thigh and drumstick flavoured with coconut milk rich in
exotic spices and grilled to perfection. The charred part
was good and tasted like Thai Green Curry.

Chap Chye Masak Titek: don really like it...

Otak Otak: Not spicy enuff..

There was also like Assam Fish.. but the gravy wasnt thick
enuff..
Crayfish:In some dark peppery sauce.. not too bad..
Desserts: Chendol: Darling ordered this cos she knows that i
don eat durian.. so NICE of my darling LOVE Ya!!
Gula Melaka:Chilled sago topped with honey sea
coconut very sweet.. but goodd..

OVerall, i tot it was quite good but not up to darling's standard.. she said katong got more power Perankan food... force her to bring me to try it out!!!

Things i did on my nua day

1. Confirmed accomodation for Bali Trip!yeah we are so going Bali.

2. Called up my bridal studio to update ROM make up timing and check if new dresses are in. the dresses are only coming after 19 October.

3.need to find another agent to find our elusive flat...where is my perfect place?

Darling i got my roster liao.. These are the days i'm free to meet up with photographers or house viewing.

15th, 17th(after Night shift), 18th, 21st(after Night shift), 22nd.
