Making my dearest happy!

It is back to work day today! My goodness no matter how much I prepare for work, there is always more work to be done!

Thank goodness there is always someone on the line to listen to my grouches!

Anyway, yesterday we attended xin's secondary school friend wedding lunch. Didn't take any pictures there because... Heh we didn't bring our camera!

But thereafter, we headed to gain city to check out the aircon system. Price wise they were quite competitive but service wise i would say there are room for improvement!

Price and model number from gain city

Next, to relax our aching legs:
Octa hotel cafe!

How do you know if u really love someone?

You realized that you are willing to do something you dread just because you know that would make the one you love happy.

U know what! I feel more positive about our relationship than ever! I feel we would make a great married couple and able to spend many many years together. So in love with my best friend- Tan Yongxin :)

First Week of our House Renovation

Our house renovation officially started on 24 June (Thursday) and on that day my dearest had to wake up so early for the "tong tu" ceremony and he had to go work straight after that!

Hacking of the tiles have taken place ( thank goodness I didn't had to go!it looks like a mess)

Our rooms are not hacked because we are going to have them laminated but the problem now would be the colours.

The cleanest area:

I like the east coast town council already heh!

One more step closer to our married life! Can't wait!

Food at Nakhon

Xin chanced upon this eatery when we were at Hougang and being a typical Singaporean he was attracted to the long queue.

However the queue was way too long and we were in a hurry. We decided to head to their branch at Bedok yesterday.

Cashew nut chicken

Clear Tom yum soup

Beef green curry

Overall, for the price it was a reasonable place for family dinner.

Consolidation for the Month of June 2010

The month of June is coming to an end *sob sob* and on the last day of my freedom- im dragged to a looooooooong boring dinner (darling, u owe me ar!)

So, what have we done for the month of June:
House
1) Acquire 4 household items (even before the tiling started bhaha!Talking about anxious house owners)
2) Open our utilities accounts
3) Chosen the colours of our tiles this coming tuesday

Wedding
1) Chose my wedding gown and evening gown; same for his suits

On the other note,
we just went to ikea today and im having second thoughts for the colours chosen for our place.

I want a classy look not crassy look!TYX heh!

Modern contemporary:
"Conceptually derived from the urban environment for the polished, svelte and polished looked"- Quoted from alussi kitchen website

Probably no wood laminate? White laminate with aluminium frame? How How How?
The rest of the kitchen in found in this catalogue

4th Household item bought!

I want this!

I want to get a water purification system for our house and xin has promised me one right?

The water purification system I'm going to get is from Elken (comes highly recommended)- filter cost is lower compared the rest like diamond water (probably because of the branding)

We need to inform kenneth because it seems we would need to lay water pipe for this system (it comes with hot and room temperature water!Yo Hoo!No boiling required!)

3rd Household Item Purchased!

We are so going bonkers heh!
Haven even decided on the design of our house yet we have started buying more and more stuffs
Hope by next tuesday after meeting up with kenneth we can finalised some of the things and weekends we are off to the furniture mall and stuffs.

Our 3rd item was the Paris skyline design where we will be placing at our dining area or probably the glass panel between the dining area and kitchen

2nd household item purchased!

We have our own hob and hood!

Teka was having a sale at their UE square outlet so we decided to head straight to that outlet after my gown fitting at Signoria. (To leave the gown fitting for another post.)

It took us less than half an hour to decided what to get simply because we have no idea about the specifications and just went with 2 conditions- aesthetically pleasing and budget.

We got a glass on glass hob (Model number CZ Lux ) with two gas burners- although i was looking for one with 3 gas burners ( and yes, I told my mummy already) and a hood (Model number C620).

We would need to advise them if our house is using gas pipe or LPG gas cylinder because on the invoice it was written LPG.

And best of all, the cost is below what we had initially budget for. So some savings again, wonder how often we going to use them haha!

Forgot to take pictures of our dinner but this is what we had for dessert @ Canele

First 3D Drawing for our House

Dining and Foyer Area (Picture 1)

Points to Discuss:
1) Partition: Keep the panels?
    Pro: See through; allows ventilation
    Con: Too common
    Suggestion: Arcylic Divider
2) Drawer: Keep
    To place tissue paper
3) Electrical Point at the foyer: For Ipod Dock
4) No lights at the foyer
5) Change of tiles
6)  Dining area: do we have additional lights around the L-Box

Foyer (Picture 2)

Points of Discussion:
1) Shoe cabinet- too long (stop at the window plane)
2) Single colour for cabinet
3) Bi-fold opening
4) Umbrella holder within the shoe cabinet
5) Change of tiles for foyer area (gravel type of flooring)

Kitchen(Picture 3)

Points of Discussion:
1) change of colour for kitchen top- black
2) glass backing change it to clear

5) Dish drainer to go
6) Hood to go as well
7) More lights- one at the kitchen area; another at the washing area

1st Household item bought

On last thursday, 3rd June, met up with darling at Jack's place (East Point Branch) for lunch. Afterwhich, we went to set up our joint account and did a sub card for my dear hehehe.

Then we went to Suntec to shop shop first as we having dinner at Yhingthai Palace at Purivs street.
Went to several shops and saw that Simmons was having a good offer by Robinsons. But we were still undecided.

Went to Yhingthai palace as darling was super keen on trying out thai food since our last trip didnt materialise.
We ordered an appetizer not sure what was it but it was highly recommended by hungry go where. It is like papaya salad with fried chicken strips, i like the chicken strips very crispy.
Ordered the tom yum soup and pandan leaf chicken and tang hoon prawns. The place was packed sia, didnt know it was so popular.

After dinner, we went to simmons gallery at Marina square to comapre the prices and the lady was snobbish which motivated us to go back and purchase the King size simmons matteress (Seabreeze with pillow top) from the patient sales person from Robinsons.
Finally we bought our 1st item (ard $2.8k) hope we can snatch more good deals during the GSS.
