Resolution for 2012!Be a cooking mama

That's it!I'm sick of 菜饭 tingkat after having for 2 months. Yucks!
So today, I finally got my mama to teach me how to cook at a grand age of 29 :)
The last time I cooked was the unfortunate dinner we had at my house which consisted of super sour spaghetti and burnt hotdogs heh.

Anyway, my two recipes for today
1) Prawn Omelette

What I will need
a) Approximately 10 prawns
b) 2 eggs
c) Pepper
d) Soya sauce
e) fresh milk

Directions
  • place prawns in a bowl
  • Add 2 eggs
  • 2 dash of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of soya sauce
  • 2 tablespoon of fresh milk
  • Mix well
  • 1 tablespoon of grapeseed oil added to pan
  • Pour mixture into pan
  • Ensure evenly spread out and stir as required to ensure fully cooked
  • Ready to serve!
2) Stir fried Spinach
What I will need:
a) Spinach
b) Salt
c) Grapeseed oil

Directions
  • Ensure pan is dry
  • Add one tablespoon of oil
  • Add spinach in
  • Stir fry to ensure vegetables evenly mixed

Precious weekends (26 Mar-27 Mar)

Guess after marriage, weekends have been more precious than ever since we now have twice the amount of entertainment to done weekly heh- perils of being a simei celebrity heh

Our activities for last week:
First up was:
Romancing U at Marina Bay (26 mar)

Our caricature artist hard at work!We were the lucky last few to get our couple caricature done.

Our completed caricature done just before the viewing of the movie- HITCH!

Beautiful sunset with Marina Bay Sands just behind

Having so many couples attending the event- we should go for more of such events. But after the event, we were so famished so lesson learned- we are going to pack our own food just like the other seasoned couples (I wanna have my own picnic basket) By the way, YX had two cornetto in a row (what a greedy  boy!)

Next to fill our hungry tummies! we headed to esplanade glutton bay- all our local delights

Hokkien Mee (but nothing beats my eunos-bedok hokkien mee)

Been a long time since we last had char kway teow

Our expensive plate of satay ($7 for 10 sticks!+ one kueh tu pat

Our BBQ chicken wings

Disgustingly fattening dinner! Time we lose some calories, we have been eating too much good food
Our Sunday Dinner at Tampines Mall- Cafe Cartel; having dinner promotion (set dinner with ribs)

So hungry that we had two basket of bread

Greedy me!

Black pepper ribs and my honey ribs!

All eat and no exercise makes me fat!Terrible!

Late night dining

We had jalan sultan big prawn noodles in the morning/brunch. Think the standard went down Liao as compared to last time..

Went to zzz in the afternoon since we are quite full we decided to make full use of Kim Gary 1 for 1 late night promotion

Hot & cold yuan yang

Darling baked fish rice with twin sauces

Supreme curry pork chop with rice

And we were ambitious- to cook on our own.

We headed to giant supermarket- to get our ingredients for our dinner. Scary thought!

Depressing Sunday

11 weeks have passed since the start of 2011! So fast!

Must keep up in the blogging- time seems to slip past so quickly.

Tomorrow is the start of the new term.

Resolution for Tan Yongxin in the new term: lose some belly fat

Resolution for Marie Lee in the new term: finish work faster- effective and efficient

Anyway, on a lighter note we went Five stars for lunch

Our Five stars chicken rice and Thai tofu!!

*alert* yx was so thirsty after eating the chicken rice that he was so grouchy

After that we headed to katong shopping centre for our toiletries shopping at Rey im.

And off we went to visit Sandra and her new born before heading back home.

Later on, it will be our first time cooking. Scary!
