We are going Japan!!

yeah yeah!finally we are going japan so exciting.
we will be taking the flight tonight at 1145 A380 wao wao!
last night, i met up with my colleagues and ex-colleagues as well, jacq actually just came back from japan and she exclaimed that the girls there are soo well dressed, jeans are a NO-NO.
i went into a frenzy and bought clothes just to go JAPAN haha!
i don want to be or-bi there, i wanna be pretty too :)

I got a Postcard today!!

I recieved a postcard from my dearest today all the way from Macau..so sweet of him :) especially he remembered bringing my address overseas just to write to me. I will probably forgot his address already hehz!

But one thing i would like to complain about him- can you call me when you are in overseas? Don't wait for me to call you k :(

And darling, i really really miss you alot- im very upset over what my dentist had to tell me...and i really want to tell you and have you comfort me.when are you coming back? can you ask to captain to sail faster?

Money no enough

My 3rd floor neighbour is selling off his flat and i immediately told xin about it!

won't it be great living so near to my mummy :)

but the selling price is a little too steep and just making some simple calculations and comparing it to our savings we have, i guess we can barely afford it and not forgetting the other works like wedding banquet, wedding photos, ang baos, rings, renovations, electrical appliances...(getting depressed by the moment)

Going to take forever to save it just to get married!and on top of that, lazy xin seems unbothered by all these..humpf!must be his evil plot to get us stay in simei!

Sick ppl!

Both of us fell sick recently...

I had urine tract infection- another dose of antibiotics!yucks! and xin had some mysterious virus attack again!

I often contract urine tract infection probably due to my dislike of using public toilets, always find them filthy and also due to the lack of water...(and also my job nature-imagine not being able to go toilet for 3 hours..)

And xin hardly fall sick however when he does it becomes very very serious!he takes days or even weeks to get better!

Like now, he cant even hold a proper conversation with me..:(

Hope he does get well soon!so worried for him

Both darling and me have been stressed out by work therefore we decided to go nearby Batam for a short getaway before our year end Japan trip(cant wait for it to come sia). Kudos for darling for making all the arrangements sia! She's the best!Muaks muaks heheh :)

As Didi was sick and need to go and see Dr Gan, darling popped by my house (very rare) to go harbourfront together. We had to go slightly earlier as the ferry tickets were not confirmed.

Off we go!! Reached Seah Inn carpark around 11+ and we lugged our barang barang to get our ferry tickets. Once done, hehe, time for our favourtie pasttime!! Makan time!!

Darling decided to go and eat the Hongkong Kim Gary Resturant(endorosed by Bosco Wong).

My set lunch got soup ordered the cream soup not sure what is it though. Taste normal ..

DArling ordered Korean spicy soup based witht minced pork. I tried abit of the soup which i tot was not too bad, but dear felt it was too spicy. Tink her level of tolerance for spicyness is getting lowerer, she used to eat more spicy stuff than me like Eng's Wanton mee.

My pork chop baked rice: i tot it was one of the better HK styled baked rice that i ever tried. Those like simi yellow signboard all quite tasteless.. yippe going hongkong soon end of the month but dear dear is not going with me sob sob..nvm next year we shall go for a short trip there!!

On the ferry towards Batam, saw alot of Ah tiongs, they must be bloody rich kids sia.. most of them quite fashionable wear sunglasses, carry branded bao bao tsktsk but the worst part is they are damn irritating, can make up there mind where to sit..

Upon reaching batam, we chop chopp put down our bags and went for our spa treatment.

Hmm not sure why they put us in two different rooms... however, the massage was not bad much better than the previous one we had at Harris.. Bintan was the best.!!!the soothing music the strength, the drinks.. chill out lounge..

As usual, felt asleep halfway, woke up only it was too hot, never switch on the fan for me arrgghhh..

oh ya the ginger tea was hot and yucky.. and we decided to hop on a cab and go to Batam centre--MegaMall!!

When we reached there, it was already past 7 (SIN time), we decided to go and eat again!! As we too lazy and calves and thighs aching from the massage(strange though), we went into this Ayam Penyet restarant to have our dinner. oh ya darling was pissed as she could not find her wallet. hehe she left it in the hotel room if not i'm in for some trouble!!

We ordered the same Ayam Penyet and the portion was extremely small... but the chicken was quite tender and the chilli was goood!! the best part?? it only cost less than SGD5 for the both of us!! the worst part?? i not full at all!!! off we went to hunt for more food!! actually is me lar!!!

decide to have A&W as we no longer can have it in singapore... i love the rootbeer float....we wanted tthe fries and float only.. but arrgghh might as well have the entire meal bhhahaa so piggy!!!

after some shopping here and there, we went to J.Co to buy some donuts!! which much cheaper as compared to singapore.

We ordered half a dozen of donuts!!

Hehe caffeine addiction!! ordered a mochabella and a free plain donut too !! happy!!

24 Jul 08-Super Blur Couple :)

I had my dental appointment on thursday 24 Jul and xin agreed to bring me there however we left out one very important detail....


My appointment was at Ntuc dental clinic Toa Payoh(central of Sinagpore) but he thought i was going Alexandra Hospital(mid west of singapore)!!


and i only realised when i went past IKEA alexandra that we had misunderstood one another.




So, lesson learnt!

COMMUNICATION BETWEEN A COUPLE IS IMPORTANT!

But after my dental appointment...(Bad news, got to extract two more teeth in front and there could be a possibility of having a permanent gap...and i thought having braces will give me the prefect smile..) xin brought me to a nice place to have our dinner. He was so secretive about it, keep warning me not to wear my usual get up of T-shirt and shorts!

It was at Goodwood park hotel!

We went to Dim Sake Bar which served dim sum and japanese food. It had this unlimited order of selected dim sum and alcoholic drinks for the price of $39.90 which was worth it if you love drinking..however for the two of us, we were more into food at that time.

We ordered the following dishes:

Complimentary plate of wasabi potato chips (makes you want to have more)

Pork congee with Century Egg（Darling loves her congee with pi dan!)

Hehe next is the in house speciality: Xiao long bao shooters! so funny the name. The xiao long bao comes in a shooter glass so when you poke the xiao long bao, the juice will be still in the shooter glass. I have only 1 complain. Where is my vinegar??!!

Next up is their Har Kau: so cute rabbit shape. However, i just popped into my mouth and wahhla!! now u see now u don!! heheh DEar said in HK all the har kau are shaped in rabbit shaped.. shall check it out when i go HK.

Next is the breadsticks: not sure what is the fillings inside but quite xx for such a small portion

oh ya there is another dish that we ordered: Lobster and scallop ???tastes fantastic especially when u dip in the mayo sauce.. i like it!!

haha this is finally our dessert: Mango Pudding!! actually we didnt order this but the waitress got our orders mixed up cos ... Mango Pudding was item 51 and we wanted item 41 which is the pork congee.

After which, we walked over to far east to walk walk and my darling bought some clothes hehe she super happy which is good !!

Finally with the pathetic portion that we had for dinner, before hitting home, i went over to far east and bought Chippy!!(British take away) Beer Battered Fish & Chips. not too bad very xiang!! but tastes wise so so

anyway it was another happy day spent with my dear dear

A Step Forward :)

On one of my 7 days MC, xin and I were discussing about marriage plans seriously over coffee.
Over our 5 and a half years courtship, this subject had creeped into our conversations many a times but most of the times we ended up talking nonsense like his bride wearing an orange gown and him looking for the perfect mandrian collar shirt.

Finally,we agreed to look for a HOUSE!(via a housing agent- however havent decided who yet)
But I was appalled by the prices of resale flats around our district..and on top of that the outrageous sum of cash we would have to pay..

Once again, Im shocked into a frenzy of saving money (the last time I had the same reaction was when ...my friend sandra bought her flat and she was telling me how much money she and her
fiancé had to pay.) But I lost steam soon after.

No more impulse buys of skincare products...
No more mindless magazine buys..........
No more ness and gg5 clothes................

And on top of that, we are going Tokyo at the end of the year. eeeks!!!



On a lighter note, Im watching this japanese drama- Absolute Boyfriend (Zettai Kareshi)

The lead actor- Hayami Mokomichi (a robot in the serial) is sooo SHUAI!! so my type- only 24 years old**I LIKE***

4 Jul 08-Wisdom Tooth Extraction

I went to AH to extract my remaining 2 wisdom tooth on 4th July (Friday). It was quite ordeal!
I reported to the ward at 8:00am because the traffic was quite smooth and I guess we left house quite early. But I was only wheeled into the operating theater at 9:30am. It was terrifying because all the medical personnel were behind their face masks and it didn't help that the theater was very cold.

I was injected with sedatives and it was sooo painful-because my veins were very fine (papa said this was due to lack of exercise) and soon after I was knocked out totally.I had no recollection of the procedure.

The very next thing I could remembered was that someone was calling my name and informed me that the surgery was over and I would be wheeled back to the ward.

All these while, I only felt pain in my throat and it was explained to me that there was a tube placed there during the surgery. Xin came shortly after I was back in the ward. I guess he was quite bored looking at me sleeping away. Anyway, during that period, he took pictures of me-so unflattering.
It was only at about 2:30 was I discharged from the ward and I was charged $1224!!!
Exorbitant price!thank godness it would be charged to AIA healthshield. :)

All because of these 2 wisdom tooth....


This embedded one had been sawed into bits and pieces because the roots were too deep.

Xin went to don't know where (citing that it was a secret) to get me this pair of flip flops :) and i tot he was sleeping all these while when he came over to my place to surprise me with this!Thanks darling!



Shall wear it to my trip to batam tomorrow but worried im going to dirty it :( Dilemma

Thoughts Abt Relationships

Just some random thoughts...

Had my fair share of "bad" relationships, suitors who were only interested in the chase but not in building a lasting relationships and so on...Haha wat a LOOOOOONG time ago :)

But there was this particular brief relationship that I had with someone that left quite an impression on me and subsequently changed my outlook towards relationships, I guess.

There was this once, I had this conversation with the guy I was besotted with.It goes something like this.
Me: Tell me, what is it that u like about me? (Wishing that he would list down 101 good things abt me)
Him: Ehm.....(He paused for quite some time)
Me: Okie, tell me why u decided to have a relationship with me?
Him: Cos of companionship..

And I flared up and started accusing him that any other girl could have kept him accompanied and something along that line...and he had to do his best to pacify me.But it stuck with me, it made me wonder if he had not liked me for who i am but rather wanted someone around and that our relationship was so shallow.And of cos, the relationship fizzed out.

Unfortunately or fortunately, I started to subscribe to his idea of relationships-it is good to have someone around but if there isnt, it is all right-the world will not crumpled.

When i entered my current relationship, i had the "look-see-look-see" attitude. But HE managed to change it, by constantly assuring tat i am the one for him and that HE will always be there for me no matter what.

Very slowly, I realised that i have gotten serious in this relationship and i am able to see a future together with him. HE means the world to me now.

However, Im also worried as the stakes are getting higher(as though we are playing the game of Bluff :), i might not be able to recoup my losses when things do go as expected.

Anyway, lets just enjoy the moment and cherish whatever we have k!:)

Dear dear tomorrow is going to have one of her wisdom tooth to be extracted!! i'm worried for her.. will be visit her tml afternoon. hope she's ok cos she going to AH on 4th July for the same operation. I shall buy a small prezzie for her to cheer her up!! don worry k baby!! esp about your face!! tsk tsk love love ya!!

What an awfully huge wisdom tooth I have got! anyway xin was totally disgusted by the look of it haha!

15 Jun 08-Sanur Indonesia Restaurant

Went to JTB to check out our Japan trip details and decided to stay in Ngee Ann City to have our dinner. Initially we had set our mind on Crystal Jade's korean ginseng chicken & BBQ however looking at the menu we decided to eat at other places despite waiting for almost half an hour.

So we decided to have a good meal at Sanur Indonesian Restuarant. I wanted to have a full meal before i have my wisdom tooth extracted. We ordered quite a number of dishes unfortunately, the pictures didn turn out except for this one.



Sambal Kangkong and tom yam soup but the best part of the meal was the belachan...it was really good. Must bring my family there for a treat :)
(Hungry after having 8 meals consisting of rice and soup only...detoxification)

11 Jun 08-5.5 years anniversary!!

Hmm, seems my arrangement of pictures are in the wrong order.. nvm we shall start with our fav past time which is to EAT!! & EAT!! & EAT Somemore!! Been on a calories laden diet for the past few days..Mcdonalds.. Chin Lee and Mac again finally abit of subway haha！！

We went to Purvis street for our dinner after a exhausting "concert".. walking up and down finally decided to try this proclaimed authentic Jap restaurant- Shinryoku Yakitori Restaurant
