Searching For Wedding Bands

Since we were already at Orchard, and we didnt get to meet up with any wedding coordinators so we decided to look for our wedding bands instead!

OH my, i think we almost went to all the possible places already!
Lets see where did we go,

1) Tiffany and co. (Taka)
The spot lights were so bright that going near the showcase was too hot for me. you could literally feel the heat. Their collection didnt impress me much although xin kept reminding me that he had stood at some exact spot to look at my proposal ring!

Pros: Tiffany has got unique designs like the miligrain type and the fact that their bands are quite thin (fits my pui pui fingers)

Cons: So expensive. One ring already cost $1700+ (totally exceeded our budget)

2) Cartier(Taka)
Saw their signature love bands but xin wont consider them since his friend has it as his wedding band (imagine meeting up with them and all of us wearing the same wedding bands haha it would look like i married his friend instead :P)

Their other bands were either too flashy or just too plain (and if i wanted a gold band, i would rather go to a goldsmith shop.)
I didn want a band with their name on it (why should i engrave cartier on my wedding band, im not married to cartier !so silly and on top of that im paying to advertise for them)

3) Bvlgari(Taka)
There wasnt anyone in their store and their sales assistant was so secretive because he came to the showcase area through a hidden door. Ha! anyway he had served us half heartedly probably could tell from our body language that we were not serious buyers.

Anyway, too expensive and too flashy. Not worth considering at all.Period.

4) Soo Kee(Wisma)
We were served by a Chinese national trainee. I must say he was very patient and very sincere about serving us.
We looked through all their collections and spent quite some time there. I had already set my eyes on the ER one. He informed us that it would be best to get the rings before the end of the GSS.Xin was the one that couldn make up his mind tsk tsk!

5) Citigems (Wisma)
They had 3 sales assistants who were serving customers. So we took a seat and looked at the rings while waiting for someone to serve us. Unfortunately, no one approached us. One of the sales assistant was still chit chating with his client. Oh well..Thumbs down for citigems.

6) Lee Hwa (Wisma)
Next stop was Lee Hwa. We were told that citigems, goldheart, lee hwa and aspial were all from the same family. (talking abt monopoly) No wonder we saw quite a number of similar designs among these shops. The sales assistant could tell that our tastes was quite different. (very earlier on, we have decided we are going to different wedding bands already) heh. Talking abt democratic relationship :)

7) Goldheart (Wisma)
Cant remember what we saw. Nothing impressive.

8) Aspial(Wisma)
We stayed here quite some time. There was a particular pair that we both like. It had the two tone (rose gold and white gold). The prices (including discount) was definately below 2k.

My legs and eyes were aching for looking at so many rings! But we decided not to get any of it cos of wishy washy xin!
